What Are Broadcast Channels? It's your VIP access to creators' latest updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and interactive polls. Imagine a space where creators can share news, and followers can react and engage. It's all happening in Broadcast Channels!
Key Details

Ready to dive in?
If you're using a 'Creator' account, you're all set to create your very own Broadcast Channel. Here's how:
Step 1:
Go to your Instagram profile and tap on the '+' icon in the top right corner.

Step 2:
Tap 'Channel' to create a new Broadcast Channel
If this is your first time creating a Channel, tap through the prompts and click 'Get Started'

Step 3:
Give your Broadcast a name
*You can add up to 100 characters in your Broadcast Channel name
You can also choose to show your channel on your profile by ensuring the blue toggle is turned ON!
This means your channel will be shown on your profile with your pronouns, bio and links 👉 so you need to make sure your channel name is on brand and tells followers what they can expect! (see below for how this looks on your profile).

Step 4:
Now you can send to your first message in your Broadcast!
You can send text, images, videos, voice messages, GIF's etc!

Step 5:
Share your Broadcast Channel to your Instagram Stories!
Once you have created your own channel, you can share the invite link to your Instagram Stories to encourage your followers to join..
Tap on the 'Share to Story' option then upload an image or video to share as normal on your Stories

How to Join a Broadcast Channel? It's simple:
Keep in mind
After you join a broadcast channel, it will appear in your Instagram inbox next to other message threads.
Followers can react to content and vote in polls, but cannot send messages. They can also share a link to their favourite creators' broadcast channels so friends can follow and join.
