Meta Verified isn't for everyone. These criteria can change but generally focus on factors like account authenticity, activity level, and adherence to community guidelines.

Currently both individuals and creators can purchase meta verified for $14.99usd/month. This gets you the blue tick mark, access to customer support, protection against impersonation etc.
Instagram is now testing 3 new tiers to Meta Verified for businesses.

is the blue tick you’ll get next to your username

means you can add images to the link in your bio (if you’re using Insta’s link option), add additional addresses to your profile, or add additional profiles.

is where meta is proactively monitoring your account for people trying to impersonate you

allows you to talk to a real person if you're having issues with your account.

Links in Reel
means you’ll be able to add a link to your reel. 2-6 a month depending on the tier you’re paying for

there will be a section in people's feed where meta features businesses.

when people are searching for an account the verified account will show up first in a search

we're not 100% sure on what this means just yet, but we’re thinking that someone from Meta will check your account and give feedback on how to improve growth & reach.

Will we be upgrading to the new tiers?
Not right now. We currently pay for the bottom tier of Meta Verified on Instagram, so we can access Instagram support. We’ve used it a couple of times now and it’s been super helpful. But we won’t be upgrading. Why? Because it won’t help us grow.
Meta Verified is designed to help businesses get more support & customer service. This is not designed as a tool for increasing reach or distribution.
